The ceremony officially acknowledged the efforts made by the students from the Service Groups, Societies, Activity Committees and Class Committees. The newly appointed student leaders of the Christian Fellowship, Prefects, the Student Union and Academic Prefects delivered their inaugural addresses to state their missions and vow to serve the school with humility. Students from various committees were also introduced as recognition of their serving roles f this academic year. The Principal reminded the student leaders to be devoted themselves to their duties and follow the teachings of Jesus: ‘You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.’ (Matthew 5:13-15) With God’s grace, Pooi To girls will bring out God’s faithfulness and goodness when serving others.
